Speaking and Presenting:
The Basics and Not-So-Basics of Business Speaking Skills plus
Integrating Technology

Sooner or later almost everyone is called on to give a speech or presentation, whether for work or volunteer service or fundraising or pitching a client or personal events. Emotions around speaking and presenting (they are different) run the gamut from excitement and joy to something less than anticipating a root canal. And many speeches and presentations are not nearly as successful and impactful as they could be. If it's a successful, impactful speech or presentation you're tasked with giving, this is the session for you!

We have crafted the following sessions to most directly serve the needs of you and your employees and attendees. Of course we customize sessions to fit your time constraints, specific requirements and level of experience. Every speaker knows there's always something to learn, even if it's simply to reinforce the basics. With that in mind, we thoughtfully offer:

Basic Speaking - the down and dirty basics of giving a speech, lecturn/podium etiquette, timing and time restraints, knowing your audience (and how to find out if you don't), and how to choose a topic that is broad enough to interest all the attendees AND specific enough to be able to say something more than a grand overview (unless that's the idea).

Basic Presentations - the basics of preparing a presentation, effective uses of PowerPoint or other projection software, slide creation, handouts - to use or not to use, how to use online materials, and when to use and distribute various media.

Speaking and Presenting Remotely - Teleseminars, Video Conferencing Seminars, and Webinars - the basics of holding teleseminars, video conference seminars, and webinars and which session will be most effective for your needs, session recordings, rules and regulations regarding recordings, multiple hosts, conference bridge and platfom selection, pre-distribution of materials, making recordings available, pre-recorded sessions and access.

We are flexible and can include specific information for you or your company regarding proprietary access, secure server storage, internet vs. intranet, and any information regarding these technologies, platforms, equipment and usage. Please provide your name, email and phone number, and the best way to contact you. We will get back with you within 24-48 hours. If your need is more immediate, please call (424) 245-5347 and leave a detailed voicemail. We will do our best to return your call within the day.
